The Emanuel Vidović Gallery
The Emanuel Vidović Gallery is dedicated to the person and work of one of the most significant Croatian artists from the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th centuries - Emanuel Vidović – the painter who spent his work- and lifetime in Split. This gallery was established as part of the Museum of the City of Split so that a place could exist for the collection, processing, research, protection and presentation of the painter’s material and spiritual heritage.
The Gallery’s present and potential collections include works of art which trace Vidović’ development in the art of painting from the initial to the final phase of gathering this versatile museological material, which contributes towards complementing the painter’s biography and follows the presentation and reception of his works.
